WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR @ MAVERICK RECRUITMENT
Maverick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily workshop operations, manage maintenance teams, and ensure efficient servicing of buses and trucks. The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and operational control to maintain the high standards of the fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning maintenance schedules, work activities, and manpower allocation to ensure that all vehicles are serviced promptly and correctly.
In addition to technical oversight, the Workshop Supervisor will supervise mechanics and technical teams on the workshop floor, open and monitor job cards, and raise spare parts requisitions. The role involves maintaining accurate service records, overseeing breakdown recovery operations, and supervising contractors for specialized tasks like engine or gearbox work. Compliance with Health & Safety standards and monitoring team performance through KPIs are also critical aspects of this position.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
4+ years of experience in workshop supervision, preferably with heavy commercial vehicles.
Strong leadership and team coordination skills to manage workshop staff.
Excellent technical and operational understanding of fleet maintenance processes.
Ability to plan maintenance schedules and allocate manpower efficiently.
Experience in monitoring job cards and managing vehicle intake.
Competency in raising spare parts requisitions for procurement and stores.
Proven ability to maintain accurate service and maintenance records for a large fleet.
Experience overseeing breakdown recovery operations and providing on-road support.
Knowledge of supervising external contractors for engine, gearbox, and bodywork.
Commitment to ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety standards in the workshop.
Ability to monitor team performance and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
