A reputable company in Tanzania is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Engineer to join their team immediately. The role involves managing the maintenance and repair of a fleet of heavy commercial vehicles, with a specialized focus on buses. Key responsibilities include conducting routine servicing, diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults, and ensuring all vehicles are in excellent operating condition. You will perform preventive maintenance and detailed inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime. Working closely with the operations team, you will be expected to use your troubleshooting skills to solve technical problems efficiently and maintain a high standard of vehicle safety and performance. This role is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Key Requirements
Must possess a Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering or a related technical field.
Proven professional experience working with heavy commercial vehicles in a busy workshop.
Strong experience in handling and maintaining large buses is considered a major advantage.
Expert ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain various vehicle systems including engines and transmissions.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills for complex mechanical issues.
Willingness to relocate to Tanzania and adapt to a new regional working environment.
Proficiency in performing preventive maintenance and rigorous vehicle safety inspections.
Ability to work effectively with electrical systems and electronic diagnostic tools.
Capacity to collaborate with the operations team to minimize vehicle downtime and optimize routes.
