FINANCE & ACCOUNTING LEAD @ MATONYOK CHILDREN HOME
The Finance & Accounting Lead will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Matonyok Children Home and Primary School. This role involves managing budgets, processing financial transactions, and ensuring that all financial records are maintained accurately in accordance with organizational policies and local regulations. The lead will play a crucial role in providing financial clarity to the management team and donors, ensuring that every contribution is accounted for and utilized effectively to support the children.
Additionally, the volunteer lead will be expected to provide strategic advice on resource allocation and cost-saving measures within the organization. Working closely with other department leads, you will help streamline financial processes to support the growing mission of the children's home. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management or accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex financial data.
Ability to prepare detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and NGO financial compliance regulations.
Demonstrated high level of integrity and professional transparency.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Swahili.
Ability to lead a team and manage financial contributions from volunteers.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
