MAPESSA INTERTRADE LTD is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations in Mbeya. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement of raw materials for activated carbon production to the storage and distribution of finished products. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supply Chain management, demonstrating expertise in logistics, inventory control, and vendor management. You will lead a team and collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement across the supply chain. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a meticulous approach to process management.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or Logistics Manager
In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes (procurement, warehousing, distribution)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems
Ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships
Understanding of local and international logistics regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to optimize logistics procedures and ensure efficiency
