ASSISTANT CHEF @ MAKTAU MOUNTAIN LODGE
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team at Maktau Mountain Lodge, located in the scenic Rombo region of Kilimanjaro. The successful candidate will assist the head chef in preparing high-quality meals for our guests, ensuring that all dishes meet our lodge's standards for excellence and presentation. You will play a vital role in maintaining kitchen hygiene, managing inventory, and contributing to a positive team environment while delivering exceptional dining experiences to travelers exploring the mountain area. Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Passion for cooking and delivering high-quality meals
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Basic knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements
Experience in catering or lodge environments is a plus
