We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Officer to manage our procurement activities in Tanzania. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services and managing vendors to ensure that the company receives the best value for its investments. You will work closely with different departments to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of required materials at our locations in Dar es Salaam and Mtwara.
As a Purchase Officer, you will also be tasked with maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. You will evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed to build a reliable supply chain. This position is vital for maintaining our operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in both Dar es Salaam and the Mtwara operational sites.

Key Requirements
Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Buyer, or similar role.
Solid knowledge of vendor sourcing practices and supply chain management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement software.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure the best deals with suppliers.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to create cost-benefit reports.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of honesty and transparency in procurement processes.
Willingness to manage procurement for both Dar es Salaam and Mtwara sites.
