Maendeleo Bank PLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Corporate Affairs and Marketing Officer to join its dynamic team in Dar es Salaam. This role is pivotal in managing the bank's public image, coordinating marketing campaigns, and enhancing corporate communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic marketing plans, managing social media platforms, and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets and stakeholders. You will work closely with various departments to ensure the bank's mission of financial inclusion is effectively communicated to retail customers, MSMEs, and religious institutions. This role involves significant coordination across the bank's physical presence, including branches in Dar es Salaam and Arusha.
In addition to core marketing duties, the Corporate Affairs and Marketing Officer will handle internal communications and event management to promote the bank's culture and values. You will leverage data from social media analytics to optimize outreach and ensure brand consistency across all digital and physical channels, including the bank's extensive agent and ATM network. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in a communications or marketing role within the banking or financial services sector.
Proficiency in tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite for content creation.
Strong expertise in social media analytics and performance tracking.
Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and other productivity tools.
Postgraduate or professional certification (e.g., CIM, Digital Marketing, PR/Media Relations) is an added advantage.
Proven ability to manage corporate events and public relations campaigns effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swahili.
Ability to develop strategic marketing plans tailored for MSMEs and religious institutions.
Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with stakeholders and media personnel.
