WATSAN MANAGER @ MÉDECINS SANS FRONTIÈRES (MSF)
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Watsan Manager to join our humanitarian efforts in Liwale. The Watsan Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH) logistics activities in alignment with MSF protocols. This role is critical to ensuring effective project operations in emergency and healthcare settings, focusing on sustainable and life-saving infrastructure.
The successful candidate will lead the strategic management of WaSH infrastructure, including water supply systems, waste management, and infection control measures. You will oversee technical maintenance of RO systems and boreholes while managing procurement and reporting. Additionally, the role involves team leadership and capacity building, working closely with local health authorities to improve hygiene standards and emergency preparedness.

Key Requirements
Higher degree or diploma in Civil, Environmental, or Water Engineering, or Public Health
At least 6 months of hands-on field emergency WaSH experience in humanitarian or development settings
Fluent in both spoken and written English and Kiswahili
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and internet applications
Strong people management and leadership skills
Proven ability to manage technical water systems like Reverse Osmosis and boreholes
Experience in emergency preparedness and waste management strategies
Excellent reporting and data analysis capabilities
Commitment to MSF humanitarian principles and zero-tolerance policy for abuse
Ability to collaborate effectively with government stakeholders and district health offices
