DIGITAL LEARNING OFFICER @ LYRA IN AFRICA ORGANIZATION
The Digital Learning Officer at Lyra in Africa Organization is a pivotal role within the Technology Inclusive Education programme. This position is responsible for driving the adoption of digital tools in teaching and learning environments, with a specific focus on teacher and student capacity building. The officer will lead initiatives in STEM, Robotics, Coding, and Digital Literacy, ensuring that educational technology is effectively integrated into the curriculum of partner schools across the region. The successful candidate will work closely with the Digital Fellow to assess school infrastructure and coordinate with education stakeholders.
Key duties include facilitating EdTech Communities of Practice, designing and delivering training programs for AI integration and Arduino-based robotics, and organizing regional learning events such as "Learning Out Loud" innovation forums. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in IT systems and software engineering along with strong pedagogical skills to mentor educators and inspire students. The officer will also be involved in program monitoring, data analysis, and reporting to ensure the impact of digital learning interventions is well-documented and optimized. Travel to other regions from the Dodoma base is expected to support program implementation.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in technology education or IT training.
Hands-on experience with Arduino, electronics, and robotics fundamentals.
Proven experience in teaching or facilitating STEM and coding training programs.
In-depth knowledge of ICT applications in the education sector.
Proficiency in digital tools, platforms, and AI integration for educational purposes.
Strong communication skills in both English and Kiswahili, both written and verbal.
Ability to perform computer assembly, repair, and network maintenance.
Experience in data collection, analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
Willingness to travel to various regions within Tanzania for program implementation.
