As a Hygiene Officer at LUX Marijani Zanzibar, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and health standards of our luxury hospitality operations. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular hygiene audits, monitor food safety compliance, and ensure that HACCP standards are strictly followed throughout the property. You will serve as the internal authority on sanitation and health regulations, protecting both our guests and our brand reputation.
The role requires a detail-oriented professional with a proactive approach to identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions. You will collaborate with department heads to provide training and support, ensuring that every member of the team understands their role in maintaining a clean and safe environment. Key Requirements
Valid certification in Food Safety / HACCP standards.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in hospitality hygiene.
Experience in conducting hygiene audits and enforcing compliance.
Strong command of the English language.
Professional attitude with a focus on health and safety excellence.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail regarding sanitation protocols.
Knowledge of local and international health regulations.
