ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST – AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION @ LJ ASCENDANT GROUP
LJ Ascendant Group is seeking a qualified Environmental Specialist to oversee environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and mitigation measures during the construction of an airport project. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all construction activities are executed in strict accordance with local environmental laws and international sustainability benchmarks. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of the project by overseeing the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and fostering a culture of environmental awareness across the site.
The role involves proactive monitoring of construction impacts, including noise, dust, and waste management, alongside direct communication with regulatory bodies and local community stakeholders. You will provide critical reports on compliance and incident investigations, ensuring transparency and accountability. The successful applicant will act as an environmental advisor to site management, driving initiatives that minimize ecological footprint while ensuring project timelines are met safely and sustainably.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Management.
Proven experience as an Environmental Expert on at least one airport construction project within the last 10 years.
Deep knowledge of local environmental legislation and regulations.
Strong understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) frameworks.
Familiarity with international environmental standards, specifically ISO 14001.
Ability to conduct environmental audits and prepare detailed compliance reports.
Strong communication skills for liaison with authorities and communities.
Professional certification in environmental management or auditing (preferred).
Proficiency in delivering environmental awareness training and toolbox talks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for incident investigations.
