As a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager based in Tanzania, you will oversee the complex logistics of stocking luxury safari properties. This role involves sourcing high-quality products, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the efficient distribution of supplies to remote camps while adhering to budget constraints. You will optimize inventory levels and implement systems to streamline the procurement process, ensuring that operational needs are met consistently.
The successful candidate must be highly organized and capable of managing supply chains in difficult-to-reach areas. You will balance the need for luxury quality with cost-effective procurement strategies, ensuring that our logistics operations are as seamless as the guest experience. Key Requirements
Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in hospitality.
Demonstrated ability to manage logistics in challenging geographical locations.
Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and data analysis.
Excellent project management and organizational capabilities.
Understanding of regional customs, regulations, and import/export processes.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight operational deadlines.
Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
Ability to travel to various remote locations within Tanzania.
Relevant certification or degree in Supply Chain Management or Business.
