ASSISTANT PASTRY CHEF @ LE MERSENNE ZANZIBAR
Le Mersenne Zanzibar, part of the Autograph Collection (Marriott), is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Assistant Pastry Chef to join our professional culinary team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards for bakery and pastry excellence, working closely with the head chef to deliver exceptional desserts and baked goods to our guests.

Key Requirements
2-3 years of proven experience in a professional pastry or bakery setting
Strong technical knowledge of pastry, cakes, breads, and chocolate production
Ability to maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards
Exceptional attention to detail and creative presentation skills
Effective communication skills for team collaboration
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen
Proven ability to work as a supportive team player
Relevant culinary or pastry arts diploma or certification
Proficiency in food cost control and ingredient management
Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
