We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Worker to join our growing team in Lagos, Nigeria. This role is pivotal in providing support to individuals and communities affected by migration and humanitarian crises, ensuring they receive the necessary care and resources to rebuild their lives and integrate effectively into their communities. As a Case Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the unique needs of clients, developing individualized care plans, and coordinating with various stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services. You will play a crucial role in our mission to strengthen social impact and foster community resilience through direct intervention and advocacy. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to social justice and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment where empathy and professional ethics are paramount.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related social science field.
Proven professional experience as a Case Worker or in a similar humanitarian service role.
Strong understanding of humanitarian principles, international protection standards, and migration issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with diverse client bases.
Demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable populations and navigate sensitive community dynamics.
Proficiency in case management documentation, database entry, and technical reporting.
Commitment to maintaining high levels of confidentiality and professional ethical standards.
Proactive problem-solving skills and the emotional resilience to handle stressful crisis situations.
Working knowledge of local Nigerian laws and international human rights frameworks.
Fluency in English and at least one local language commonly spoken in the Lagos region.
