POWER PLANT TECHNICIAN (MECHANICAL) @ LAKECEMENT
Lake Cement is seeking a dedicated Power Plant Technician (Mechanical) to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our power plant equipment through routine inspections, proactive maintenance, and timely repairs. Key duties include dealing with running and breakdown jobs, performing general lubrication and greasing, and executing complex tasks such as shaft alignments and the overhaul of equipment following specific Operation and Maintenance manuals. This role is exclusively open to Tanzanian nationals who possess a VETA Certificate in Fitter Mechanics or Welding & Cutting. We are looking for an individual with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance who can approach process problems methodically and work collaboratively with the team. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in welding, cutting, and fitting techniques to maintain the high standards of our facility. Key Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance
VETA Certificate in Fitter Mechanics / Welding & Cutting
Fully skilled with repairing mechanical parts
Ability to take an orderly approach with overcoming both machinery and process problems
Work with others to resolve issues effectively
Knowledgeable in welding and cutting techniques
Proficient in fitting techniques for industrial equipment
Experience in conducting thorough inspection of equipment
Ability to handle running and breakdown jobs efficiently
Skills in performing general lubrications and greasing jobs
Proficiency in shaft alignments of machinery
Capability in bearing and coupling replacement as per standard procedure
