MECHANICAL ENGINEER @ LAKE CEMENT
Lake Cement is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead maintenance efforts within our cement production facility. This role requires extensive knowledge of cement industry equipment, including Kilns, VRMs, and Ball mills. You will be responsible for planning daily maintenance tasks, managing the mechanical workforce, and ensuring that all work is conducted according to strict safety protocols and risk assessments.
In addition to technical supervision, the Mechanical Engineer will oversee major assemblies and alignments, such as kiln and machine alignment. You will play a vital role in troubleshooting complex machinery issues and maintaining dust collection systems in compliance with environmental norms. This position is exclusive to Tanzanian nationals with over 7 years of relevant industrial experience.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
7 to 10+ years of experience in the Cement Industry
Tanzanian citizenship
Strong leadership and management skills
Experience with Vertical Roller Mills (VRM)
Knowledge of Kiln and Clinker Cooler maintenance
Proficiency in machine and girth gear alignment
Expertise in troubleshooting cement plant machinery
Knowledge of dust collectors and bag house maintenance
Ability to carry out prior risk assessments for all tasks
