This role is specifically designed for a local expert who understands the Kariakoo market and can build an effective promoter network from the ground up.
As a Market Specialist, you will be responsible for building and coordinating local market promotion activities in Kariakoo. This is not a desk-only position; it requires high energy and practical execution to identify key trading areas, merchant groups, and high-potential customer segments. You will source, recruit, and manage a large team of local promoters while supporting customer education on payment processes and onboarding. Your goal is to help Kuwa Pay build strong, long-term relationships in the Kariakoo market and provide practical market insights to management.

Key Requirements
0-15+ years of practical experience in the Kariakoo market.
Deep understanding of local traders, promoters, market routes, and informal networks.
Proven ability to recruit, organize, and supervise field promoters.
Hardworking, hands-on, reliable, and willing to handle demanding fieldwork.
Strong local network and good communication skills in Swahili.
Ability to speak English is an advantage for reporting and coordination.
Experience in merchant acquisition, market promotion, or local trade networks.
Knowledge of customer education techniques for financial products.
