GENERAL MANAGER – PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURING @ KPMG
A leading pharmaceutical organization in Tanzania is looking for a strategic General Manager to oversee its manufacturing entities and affiliated operations. This role is pivotal for driving business growth and ensuring that all operations align with the company's long-term objectives. The successful candidate will report directly to the Board of Directors, providing operational leadership and making critical decisions that impact the entire organization. The responsibilities include managing senior teams, overseeing regulatory compliance, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. The General Manager will be responsible for the financial health of the manufacturing entities, ensuring that supply chains are optimized and that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are strictly followed. This is a high-level executive position requiring a blend of technical knowledge in health sciences and robust business acumen to navigate the pharmaceutical landscape in Tanzania.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Health Sciences, or related field.
Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related health field is highly preferred.
Minimum 8–10 years of executive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience specifically within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and industry standards.
Demonstrated expertise in ensuring regulatory compliance within the health sector.
Strong background in business development and organizational strategic planning.
Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and financial reporting.
Extensive experience in managing complex supply chains and logistics operations.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire senior teams.
