STORE MANAGER @ KENTAINERS
Kentainers is seeking a highly organized and experienced Store Manager to join our manufacturing facility in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, ensuring that stock records are maintained with the highest degree of accuracy. Key responsibilities include enforcing strict controls over the receiving and issuance of materials, conducting regular stock counts, and investigating any variances that may arise. The Store Manager will play a critical role in monitoring usage and wastage patterns to optimize operational efficiency. In addition to inventory management, the Store Manager will supervise warehouse staff and ensure that storage practices adhere to FIFO and FEFO principles. You will be expected to prepare detailed reports for management and utilize ERP systems to streamline store operations. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in manufacturing stores and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can maintain a clean, safe, and efficient storage environment while meeting production demands.
Key Requirements
Possess a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing stores within a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in using ERP software and advanced Excel for data analysis
Strong skills in stock reconciliation and resolving inventory variances
In-depth knowledge of FIFO and FEFO inventory management principles
Proven track record of supervising and leading warehouse staff
Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records at all times
Experience in enforcing strict controls for the receiving and issuance of goods
Capability to monitor and report on usage and wastage patterns
Excellent organizational and communication skills for preparing management reports
