FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER / ACTING GENERAL MANAGER @ KENDRICK RECRUITMENT
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a strong and experienced Food & Beverage Manager / Acting General Manager to join an exciting new luxury safari lodge opening in the Serengeti, Tanzania. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional with a strong F&B background who is ready to take on additional operational leadership responsibilities and act as General Manager during the GM's periods of leave. The property will offer an intimate, high-end guest experience with just 18 suites, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys being operationally involved while maintaining exceptional luxury service standards. The salary for this role is between USD 2,500 – USD 3,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience, with benefits including live-in accommodation, meals, medical coverage, visa, and annual return flights. The rotation is approximately 3 months on followed by 1 month off.
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager within a luxury 5-star hotel, resort or high-end hospitality property.
Strong operational F&B knowledge with the ability to oversee both front and back-of-house operations.
Previous Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager or Acting General Manager experience.
Experience working within a new opening or pre-opening environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead multicultural teams.
Excellent knowledge of luxury service standards, guest relations and operational procedures.
Strong financial understanding, including budgeting, cost control, stock management and F&B profitability.
Hands-on leadership style with the confidence to take responsibility for the overall property.
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Previous international or remote luxury hospitality experience.
