The Lodge Reservations Manager oversees the entire booking process to ensure a seamless experience for guests from initial inquiry to arrival. This role involves managing reservation systems, coordinating with the hospitality team, and optimizing room occupancy rates through strategic pricing and promotion. The manager is responsible for training staff in customer service excellence and ensuring all booking records are accurate and up-to-date. In addition to administrative tasks, the manager will handle complex guest inquiries and resolve any issues related to reservations. This position is vital for maintaining the high standards of hospitality associated with the lodge. The successful candidate will work in a beautiful lodge setting in Tanzania, contributing to a premium guest experience.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field. Extensive experience in hotel or lodge reservation management. Proficiency in using property management systems (PMS) and online booking platforms. Excellent customer service skills with a guest-centric approach. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Ability to work under pressure during peak tourist seasons. Fluency in both English and Swahili is highly preferred. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in record keeping. Knowledge of financial procedures related to payments and invoicing. Strong problem-solving skills to handle reservation conflicts and guest complaints.
