SENIOR MECHANIC – LIGHT TRUCKS @ KAZIBORA HR CONSULTANCY
A leading beverage company in Dar es Salaam is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanic – Light Trucks to join their maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that the fleet of light commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trucks, remains in optimal working condition and available for daily logistics operations.
This position requires a hands-on approach to mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and team oversight. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of vehicle mechanics for trucks ranging from 3.5 to 10 tons, prioritizing safety and roadworthiness to support the company’s distribution network. You will be expected to maintain meticulous records of all service activities and lead repair efforts to minimize vehicle downtime.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering or Motor Vehicle Mechanics
3–5 years of professional experience in truck maintenance
Demonstrated experience managing or supervising workshop operations
Proven expertise in servicing light trucks (3.5 to 10 tons)
Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of refrigerated truck systems and maintenance
Ability to maintain accurate service records and technical reports
Valid driving licence
Strong understanding of vehicle safety and roadworthiness standards
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with logistics teams
