The Fleet Manager – Logistics will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective management of the company's vehicle fleet. This role involves overseeing vehicle acquisition, maintenance schedules, fuel management, and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations. You will play a crucial role in optimizing fleet performance and minimizing operational costs. Key duties include developing and implementing fleet policies, managing driver schedules, and utilizing fleet management software to track vehicle performance and usage. Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role within the logistics sector.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and procurement.
Familiarity with fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
Excellent organizational and budgeting skills.
Ability to ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
Experience with route planning and optimization.
Strong negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers.
Ability to manage and train drivers.
Problem-solving capabilities for unexpected breakdowns or delays.
