FLEET MANAGER - LOGISTICS @ KAZIBORA HR CONSULTANCY
The Fleet Manager - Logistics will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective management of the company's vehicle fleet. This role involves overseeing all aspects of fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance schedules, fuel management, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations. The successful candidate will aim to maximize fleet utilization and minimize operational costs. Key duties include managing drivers, implementing safety protocols, tracking vehicle performance, and optimizing routes for timely deliveries. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical and managerial skills, contributing to the logistics team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Key Requirements
Proven experience (3+ years) in fleet management, preferably in a logistics context.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and scheduling.
Ability to manage fuel consumption, routing, and logistics software.
Experience in driver management, training, and performance evaluation.
Understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using fleet management systems.
A diploma or degree in Logistics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
