FINANCE & ACCOUNTING OFFICER @ KAZIBORA HR CONSULTANCY
Our client, a prominent player in the fuel and gas distribution industry, is seeking a diligent Finance & Accounting Officer to manage their financial operations in Zanzibar. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, managing tax compliance, and overseeing payroll processes for the organization.
Key responsibilities include managing sales invoicing, preparing monthly expenditure reports, and ensuring all tax documentation is handled through the appropriate portals. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, coordinating with Head Office for supplier payments, and reporting on fuel and gas sales volumes to regulatory authorities. Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
Proven experience in finance and accounting functions, preferably within the fuel or gas industry.
Practical knowledge of TRA and ZRA tax compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll preparation and Excel.
Strong understanding of PAYE, NSSF, ZSSF, and withholding tax processes.
Ability to manage invoicing and financial reconciliations effectively.
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with Head Office and external clients.
Ability to maintain high standards of financial integrity and confidentiality.
