The Declaration Officer role involves handling customs documentation and clearing processes for international trade operations. Based in Dar es Salaam, you will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and facilitate the smooth movement of goods. This position requires a thorough understanding of customs procedures and meticulous attention to detail.
You will be tasked with preparing accurate declarations, liaising with customs authorities, and coordinating with logistics teams to prevent delays. Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Clearing and Forwarding, or related field
Full proficiency in TANCIS and other customs clearing systems
In-depth knowledge of Tanzania customs laws and regulations
Proven experience in cargo declaration and clearance procedures
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files
Meticulous attention to detail in documentation and filing
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Effective communication skills for dealing with authorities and clients
Strong problem-solving abilities regarding customs disputes
High level of integrity and professional ethics
