PAPER MILL SHIFT SUPERVISOR @ KAVITA HIRECREST
We are looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Paper Mill Shift Supervisor to join our team in Tanzania, Dar es Salaam. This role is central to our manufacturing operations, requiring a candidate who can effectively lead a team during rotational shifts. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing Kraft pulp mill operations, ensuring that production targets for Tissue and M.G grades are met with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the operational integrity of our chemical recovery systems while fostering a culture of safety and excellence on the production floor.
In this position, you will be expected to manage day-to-day mill activities, troubleshoot technical issues, and mentor junior staff members. Your expertise in process engineering and pulp production will be vital in optimizing plant performance and minimizing environmental impact. Beyond technical supervision, the role involves administrative duties such as reporting on production metrics and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth handover between shifts. This position requires someone who is adaptable to changing production schedules and committed to continuous improvement within the industrial manufacturing sector.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Pulp & Paper Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience specifically in kraft pulp mill operations.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of chemical recovery processes within a mill setting.
Strong exposure to Tissue and M.G grade manufacturing standards.
Proven track record of maintaining strict safety and environmental compliance.
Ability to work effectively in a rotational shift environment.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills for industrial mill machinery.
Excellent communication skills for leading diverse production teams.
Experience in optimizing production workflows and reducing waste.
