RESERVATIONS ASSISTANT (PART-TIME) @ KAMBA AFRICAN RAINFOREST EXPERIENCES
Kamba African Rainforest Experiences is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Reservations Assistant to join their specialized team based in Cape Town. This part-time role is crucial for managing guest inquiries and trade partner relationships for unique travel experiences to the Republic of Congo and Odzala-Kokoua National Park. You will be the primary contact point, transforming initial interests into life-changing journeys focused on the conservation of rainforests and local communities. Daily responsibilities include managing high-volume email and phone communications, accurately inputting data into ResRequest, and collaborating with sales and operations teams to ensure seamless guest itineraries. The ideal candidate will have a passion for African conservation and a professional demeanor capable of handling the intricacies of luxury travel bookings. This position offers a hybrid work environment and the opportunity to work with a team dedicated to meaningful ecological impact. Once established in the role, the successful candidate may also have the opportunity to participate in trade shows and familiarization trips to gain first-hand experience of the destination.
Key Requirements
Previous reservations experience in safari, luxury travel, or hospitality.
Working knowledge of ResRequest software or the ability to learn new software quickly.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in French (highly advantageous).
Knowledge of the Republic of Congo and Central African travel destinations.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when working under pressure.
Proven ability to build professional rapport with luxury travellers and trade partners.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player.
Professional, calm, and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
Capacity to handle incoming reservations via phone and email within same-business-day timelines.
