ACCOUNTANT @ KAMAL-GROUP
The Accountant at Kamal-group is responsible for overseeing all areas relating to financial services operations. This position plays a critical role in developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure the production of accurate and timely financial statements and successful month-end closes. The role involves a high level of detail in managing inventory control, specifically reconciling stock takes and ensuring the accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
In addition to inventory management, the successful candidate will handle accounts payable and receivable, including processing supplier invoices, managing vendor reconciliations, and preparing payments. Responsibilities also extend to financial reporting, assisting with the preparation of management accounts, and performing bank reconciliations. Furthermore, the accountant will ensure compliance by submitting VAT returns and adhering to internal financial controls. The work location for this position is Bagamoyo - Kerege.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or busy corporate environment preferred.
Fresh graduate status with a CPA qualification is acceptable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management.
Experience using ERP accounting software for daily financial operations.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
Ability to perform inventory control and reconcile stock takes accurately.
Competency in processing supplier invoices and vendor reconciliations.
Experience in preparing accruals, prepayments, and posting journals.
Knowledge of VAT return submission and internal financial controls.
