Kafika House is a renowned international NGO based in Arusha, Tanzania, dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children recovering from surgeries related to treatable disabilities. The organization focuses on holistic rehabilitation for conditions such as cleft lip, palate, clubfoot, and skeletal fluorosis, ensuring that every child receives the necessary medical support to lead a healthy life. We are seeking a compassionate Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team to lead therapy sessions and manage patient care plans.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the recovery journey of our patients by conducting assessments, facilitating group and individual therapy, and supervising clinical interns. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognised institution.
Current registration with a relevant professional body in Tanzania.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience specifically in paediatric physiotherapy.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualised care plans.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient advocacy.
Strong team-management abilities with experience supervising assistants or students.
Proficiency in electronic medical record keeping and clinical documentation.
Knowledge of the Ponseti method for clubfoot treatment is highly desirable.
Willingness to participate in community outreach and disability awareness programs.
Compassionate, patient-centred approach with excellent time-management skills.
