CORE BANKING/MIS SYSTEM CONSULTANT @ K-FINANCE
K-FINANCE is currently seeking a highly skilled Core Banking/MIS System Consultant to support the organization in the strategic selection, implementation, and stabilization of a robust core banking and Management Information System (MIS). The selected consultant or firm will serve as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring that the chosen solution aligns with operational goals, regulatory standards, and scalability requirements of the institution.
The consultant will be responsible for guiding the entire procurement lifecycle, from the initial gathering of technical requirements to the final go-live stage and post-implementation support. This role involves close coordination with stakeholders to ensure that all selected platforms are compatible with critical banking infrastructure, including integration with mobile money services, credit bureau reporting systems, and the Bank of Tanzania (BOT) regulatory standards.

Key Requirements
Proven experience leading the selection of at least two core banking or MIS systems for microfinance institutions or SACCOs.
Demonstrated history of providing client-side support in at least one full implementation lifecycle from contract to stabilization.
Advanced proficiency in ICT procurement processes including RFP preparation and vendor evaluation scoring.
Solid understanding of Bank of Tanzania regulatory requirements for Tier 2 microfinance institutions.
Ability to manage complex contract negotiations including SLA and escrow arrangements.
Demonstrated knowledge of data ownership provisions and vendor exit strategies.
Possession of a signed declaration of independence confirming no conflict of interest with software vendors.
Expertise in mobile money integration and TIPS requirement mapping.
Strong project management skills to oversee implementation phases and ensure go-live readiness.
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and report generation.
