OPERATIONS OFFICER (FLEET) @ JUBAILI AGROTEC
Jubaili Agrotec is looking for a qualified and results-driven professional to join our team as an Operations Officer – Fleet. This role is central to our logistical efficiency, requiring a proactive approach to managing a diverse fleet of vehicles and ensuring that all transport activities align with our operational goals. The successful candidate will be based in Dar es Salaam and will play a critical role in supporting our supply chain and distribution network. In this capacity, your primary responsibilities will include coordinating fleet and transport schedules, overseeing routine and emergency vehicle maintenance, and monitoring fuel consumption to ensure cost-effectiveness. You will also be tasked with supervising drivers, optimizing routes for better efficiency, and ensuring full compliance with all relevant transport and safety regulations. Through detailed operational reporting and the use of GPS tracking systems, you will provide the insights necessary to continuously improve our fleet operations.
Key Requirements
Diploma in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
2–3 years of experience in fleet operations or logistics coordination
Knowledge of GPS tracking systems and fleet management software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data tracking
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage and lead a team of drivers
Ability to perform route optimization and strategic fuel monitoring
In-depth understanding of local transport and safety regulations in Tanzania
Analytical skills for generating detailed operational reports and performance metrics
Excellent problem-solving skills to manage vehicle maintenance issues and breakdowns
High level of integrity and accountability in the management of company resources
