The Senior Accountant will oversee the company's financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making. Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing monthly and annual financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and overseeing payroll processes. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills to supervise junior staff, coordinate external audits, and maintain effective internal controls to ensure organizational efficiency.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Must have a CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.
Over 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software like SAP or Tally.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
Proven experience in supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
