TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEER @ JOBSKEY
Jobskey is looking for a skilled Telecommunication Engineer to support critical telecom infrastructure operations for a major Oil & Gas pipeline project based in Tanga, Tanzania. The role requires maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of systems including Fiber Optic Networks, VSAT, VHF/UHF radios, and security systems like CCTV and PAGA across multiple project sites. The engineer will handle both Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities to ensure seamless voice and data communication throughout the infrastructure.
In addition to technical maintenance, the candidate will perform network diagnostics, root cause analysis, and performance optimization while coordinating with vendors and regulatory authorities. Ensuring HSE compliance and telecom asset integrity are key components of this role. This position involves frequent travel to EACOP project sites to provide hands-on technical support and ensure network reliability through the management of routers, switches, and other network devices.

Key Requirements
BSc in Telecommunications, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or ICT.
10+ years of telecom engineering experience.
Background in Oil & Gas, Pipeline, or Large Infrastructure Projects.
Strong knowledge of telecom systems in industrial environments.
Experience with CMMS tools and telecom maintenance standards.
Proficiency in Fiber Optic Communication and Microwave systems.
Experience with CCTV, Security Systems, and Access Control Systems.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and vendor coordination skills.
Expertise in managing Routers, Switches, and Network Devices.
Willingness to travel frequently to EACOP project sites.
