SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER @ JOBSKEY
Jobskey is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a prestigious Oil & Gas pipeline infrastructure project in Tanga, Tanzania. The role involves acting as the primary Electrical Authority for MV & HV systems, overseeing comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support across pipeline facilities. You will be responsible for managing commissioning, shutdowns, and electrical incidents while ensuring the reliability and availability of critical systems such as HV/LV power distribution, VFD motors, and MCC panels.
The successful candidate will also coordinate with external power providers and maintenance contractors to lead optimization initiatives for electrical systems and maintenance strategies. A significant part of the role includes mentoring and training local engineers and technicians to ensure safety compliance and operational excellence. Given the nature of the project, the role requires frequent travel to various EACOP project sites to oversee equipment such as diesel generators, PV farms, and battery energy storage systems.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Certified MV & HV Engineer qualification.
15–20 years of Oil & Gas or heavy industrial experience.
Strong knowledge of CMIMS / Maintenance Systems.
Excellent understanding of Electrical Safety Standards & HSE Compliance.
Strong expertise in power generation, distribution, and control systems.
Hands-on experience with transformers, HV/LV motors, ECS, and PMS systems.
Proven leadership, mentoring, and technical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with equipment such as PLCs, Switchgears, and UPS Systems.
Willingness to travel frequently to EACOP project sites.
