A growing construction company in Dubai is currently seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to manage sourcing, supplier relationships, and purchasing operations across various construction projects. The primary objective of this role is to identify and onboard reliable suppliers for construction materials and equipment, ensuring the company secures the best pricing, contract terms, and service levels through effective negotiation. The selected candidate will handle the full procurement cycle, including Request for Quotations (RFQs), purchase order management, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance and resolve any logistical issues.
Furthermore, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for tracking global market trends and fluctuations in material costs to support the company's budgeting and cost control initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with logistics, finance, and site project teams to maintain streamlined operations and adherence to procurement policies. Key Requirements
1–3 years of professional procurement experience.
High preference for experience specifically within the construction industry.
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Odoo.
Solid understanding of procurement cycles and cost control procedures.
Must be currently based in the UAE or have valid residency.
Ability to manage RFQs and purchase order documentation accurately.
Proficiency in tracking market trends and material cost fluctuations.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with finance and logistics teams.
Demonstrated ability to source and onboard new vendors and suppliers.
