PROCUREMENT OFFICER @ JANETH GEORGE
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer with 1–2 years of experience to join our team, ideally with a background in the mining sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement cycle, which involves sourcing, negotiation, price comparison, and the awarding of purchase orders. You will evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability, while collaborating closely with logistics and technical teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Key duties include monitoring procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensuring full compliance with company policies and Tanzanian regulatory standards. Proficiency in SAP is essential for effective procurement management and reporting. Key Requirements
1–2 years’ procurement experience, preferably in mining
Proficiency in SAP is essential
PSPTB certification (mandatory)
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Strong negotiation and communication capability
Ability to manage multiple tenders/projects under pressure
Experience in local tender processes
Knowledge of sourcing and price comparison techniques
Understanding of purchase order (PO) management
Familiarity with Tanzanian regulatory requirements for procurement
