HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER @ IRIS EXECUTIVE
Our organization is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to oversee and manage all occupational health and safety aspects of our operations in Dar es Salaam. The primary focus of this role is to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors while maintaining compliance with local and international safety standards. You will be instrumental in developing safety protocols and conducting regular training sessions. As the Health and Safety Manager, you will perform routine site inspections, evaluate potential risks, and implement corrective measures. You will also be responsible for investigating any workplace incidents and preparing detailed reports for management. We are looking for a professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety throughout the company.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Science.
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent safety certification.
At least 5 years of experience in a safety management role.
In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and safety regulations.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and site audits.
Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies.
Strong leadership and communication skills to influence safety culture.
Experience in accident investigation and reporting.
Proficiency in identifying workplace hazards and implementing controls.
First Aid and Fire Safety training certification.
