PURCHASING SUPERVISOR (1 POSITION) @ IRIS CONSTRUCTION
IRIS Construction is looking for an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to lead our procurement activities in Zanzibar. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that all construction supplies are available when needed. The ideal candidate will manage the purchasing cycle from start to finish, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality. You will collaborate closely with project managers and the finance team to maintain optimal inventory levels and streamline the procurement workflow for our various construction projects.
Key Requirements
Relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business
Proven experience as a Purchasing Supervisor or Procurement Officer
Supporting documents and certifications required for application
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management software
Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relations
Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
Solid judgement along with good decision-making skills
Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain operations
Leadership skills to supervise the procurement team effectively
High level of professionalism and ethical standards
