SITE ENGINEER @ IRIS CONSTRUCTION AND TRADING
IRIS CONSTRUCTION AND TRADING is seeking a highly competent and results-driven Site Engineer to join their team in Zanzibar, Tanzania. This pivotal role requires strong expertise in drainage works and a proven track record in delivering infrastructure projects in compliance with international standards. The successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing construction activities and ensuring project objectives are met with the highest quality and safety.The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising site activities, ensuring strict compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and all safety requirements. This involves coordinating effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and various stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient execution of works. Key duties also include reviewing engineering drawings, method statements, and other technical documentation, as well as continuously monitoring project progress and providing essential technical support to achieve project goals. The role demands a commitment to ensuring adherence to all applicable construction standards and best practices, contributing to the successful delivery of critical drainage infrastructure projects in the region.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in drainage and infrastructure projects.
Previous experience with Ashghal and Kahramaa projects is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, quality assurance, and HSE requirements.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage.
Ability to oversee and supervise site activities effectively.
Strong understanding of project specifications and quality standards.
Capability to coordinate with various project stakeholders.
Experience in reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation.
