FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT @ IPSOS IN TANZANIA
Ipsos in Tanzania is seeking a highly qualified Financial Accountant to join their Finance department in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data to meet group reporting timelines. This position is central to the company's control function, ensuring that financial statements comply with Ipsos Group policies and local regulations.
The role involves managing the month-end process, setting internal deadlines, and maintaining monthly cut-off procedures. Key duties include reviewing financial statements, performing bank and mobile money reconciliations, processing supplier invoices, and overseeing intercompany billing. Additionally, the Financial Accountant will take part in external and internal audits, implement efficient accounting processes to mitigate risk, and drive MIS compliance to improve financial metrics such as DSO and AP days. Candidates must be fluent in English and possess strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Key Requirements
An undergraduate degree in business or economics.
Professional qualification with CPA or ACCA (completed or ongoing).
Minimum 3 years of experience in management accounting.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and ERP accounting software.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.
Strong planning and communication skills.
