LEAD: QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER @ INSPHIRED
Our client in the ICT Distribution industry is seeking a strategic and dynamic Lead: Quality Assurance Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will take full ownership of QA delivery across multiple squads and streams, driving excellence in quality and improving delivery standards. This role involves leading QA planning, managing performance of QA Leads, and overseeing release readiness and quality gates. You will be responsible for reporting on defects and test progress while partnering closely with Engineering and Product teams to enhance quality throughout the development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate possesses 3 to 5 years of QA experience with a focus on delivery ownership and leadership. You should have a deep understanding of Agile and SDLC methodologies and be proficient with tools like Jira, Xray, and Zephyr. Strong stakeholder engagement skills are essential for reporting and risk management. This position offers a salary of up to R50 000 per month, depending on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience. Key Requirements
At least 3 to 5 years of professional Quality Assurance experience with specific ownership of QA planning and delivery.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing, mentoring, or leading QA teams in a professional setting.
Profound knowledge of Agile methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and standard QA practices.
Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail for test management.
Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities with the ability to report clearly on defects, risks, and test progress.
Relevant certification such as ISTQB is considered highly advantageous for this position.
Previous experience working within financial services or other highly regulated environments is beneficial.
Ability to manage and own release readiness, risk management, and formal quality gates across streams.
Proven experience in driving continuous improvement for QA processes and associated tooling.
Capacity to make informed, risk-based release decisions within fast-paced delivery environments.
