SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR @ INDSAFRI
Indsafri is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join the banking sector team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This onsite role is critical for designing and implementing robust database solutions, frameworks, and models that ensure the efficient storage and retrieval of vital banking data. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying structural necessities by evaluating client operations and programming, and must be prepared to create detailed architecture reports for management and executive stakeholders.
Beyond design, the role involves proactive monitoring of system performance through regular testing, troubleshooting, and the integration of new features. The Senior DBA will also be tasked with configuring databases to withstand security threats and data loss, maintaining performance optimization, and formulating data dictionaries. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with core banking systems like Finacle 10 and cloud network topologies while ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulations.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecoms, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems.
Must hold professional certifications in Databases such as OCA or OCP in Oracle Database 11g or higher.
Proven proficiency with SQL Server and Oracle query scripting.
Expert-level experience in operating systems including Unix, Linux, Solaris, and Windows.
Deep business understanding of banking systems, specifically knowledge of Finacle 10.
Familiarity with designing network topologies within cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience in managing and performing database purging, backups, and recovery activities.
Ability to design and implement effective database solutions and frameworks to store and retrieve data.
Strong analytical skills for evaluating client operations and identifying database structural necessities.
Excellent communication skills for preparing accurate architecture reports for executive teams.
