NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR @ INDSAFRI
The Network Administrator will be responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of the organization's critical network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, network segments, and internet/intranet systems. This role involves monitoring network performance to ensure high availability and security for all users while managing server deployments and data center operations. Key duties include managing network configurations, change management, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met through effective vendor management. Furthermore, the successful candidate will oversee the support of vital network services such as VPN gateways, branch connectivity for ATM and SWIFT systems, and IPT systems. The role requires a strong focus on IT security, including endpoint support and the management of intrusion detection systems and firewalls. Additionally, the administrator will develop and maintain risk procedures, perform risk assessments, and drive the remediation of any audit or risk review exceptions to ensure a robust and secure computing environment. The role is based onsite in Dar es Salaam and is open to Tanzania Nationals.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Network Administration, ICT, Telecommunication or any other related field.
A minimum of 5 years of professional working experience in networking roles.
Strong expertise with Computer Networking and IP Networks.
Familiarity and hands-on experience with Routing, Switching, and Subnetting Networks.
Ability to install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, and intranet systems.
Proficiency in monitoring network security and availability for specific users.
Experience in data centre management and server deployment.
Knowledge of VPN gateways, ATM switch connectivity, and SWIFT/Mobile Banking connectivity.
Skills in IPT systems and intrusion detection/firewall management.
Experience developing and maintaining risk procedures and mitigation strategies.
