RELIABILITY ENGINEER (OIL & GAS – FACILITIES OPTIMIZATION) @ IESL GLOBAL
The Reliability Engineer will play a critical role in supporting asset integrity and production optimization initiatives within oil and gas facilities. The primary focus of this role involves overseeing the maintenance and performance of mechanical systems to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime. The successful candidate will work on contract for a duration of four months, applying technical expertise to assess facility reliability and implement strategic improvements in both offshore and onshore environments. This position requires a proactive professional capable of managing complex asset management challenges while ensuring high standards of safety and reliability.
Key responsibilities include conducting root cause analysis for equipment failures, developing preventive maintenance schedules, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance facility safety and productivity. The role requires a deep understanding of mechanical integrity standards and the ability to interpret technical data to drive facilities optimization. Candidates are expected to contribute to the long-term sustainability of production assets while adhering to strict industry regulations and oil and gas safety protocols. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
Between 5 to 10 years of direct experience in oil and gas operations.
Demonstrated expertise in reliability engineering and mechanical integrity assessments.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMRP, API) are highly desirable.
Proficiency in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify failure origins.
Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) within an industrial setting.
Deep understanding of asset management software and maintenance planning tools.
Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and O&G safety regulations.
Excellent analytical skills to interpret technical performance data for facilities.
Ability to work effectively in both offshore and onshore environments as required.
