SPECIAL NEEDS FIELD OFFICER @ IBO ITALIA
IBO Italia is recruiting for the position of Special Needs Field Officer to be based in the rural target areas of the Iringa Region in Tanzania. This role focuses on the practical implementation of inclusive education activities across primary schools. Key responsibilities include providing training and coaching for teachers, establishing educational sessions for pupils, and managing school clubs that promote inclusivity and support for children with special needs within the classroom environment.

The role involves developing individual education plans, adapting curricula, and creating specialized learning materials to support teachers. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in Special Needs Education and a passion for community-based work within the NGO sector to improve the educational outcomes for children in rural Tanzania.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Special Needs Education from a recognized institution.
Sound experience on disability issues and the inclusive education sector.
At least 1 year work experience in Inclusive education or Special Needs Education.
Demonstrated capacity building, training, and coaching skills for educators.
Proven experience working directly with school communities and local stakeholders.
Fluency in written and oral English and Swahili.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for collaborative environments.
Excellent organizational and time management skills for managing field activities.
Proficiency in adapting curriculum and learning materials for children with special needs.
Computer literacy and the ability to develop individual education plans and assessments.
