SENIOR MINING FOREMAN / TECHNICIAN @ HSD-MELT
Hsd-melt is looking for a dedicated Senior Mining Foreman or Technician to oversee critical quarry operations in Kimbiji, Kigamboni, Tanzania. This full-time position requires a professional with extensive experience in large-scale open-pit mechanized mining, focusing on the safe and efficient extraction of limestone to support our cement production. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supervising all aspects of quarry operations, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities include supporting limestone supply production targets, coordinating with mining contractors and blasting teams, and managing crusher operations. The role also involves overseeing haul roads, drainage systems, stockpiles, and comprehensive mine safety programs, alongside maintaining accurate operational records to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Key Requirements
Diploma in Mining Engineering.
10–12 years of experience in large-scale open-pit mechanized mining.
Extensive experience in limestone quarry operations, including drilling and blasting.
Proficiency in mine planning, fleet management, and crusher operations.
In-depth knowledge of Tanzania Mining Act, mining regulations, and environmental compliance (NEMC).
Strong understanding of safety standards and explosives management.
Skills in survey work, stockpile management, and volume calculations.
Basic geological understanding and ability to prepare comprehensive reports.
Proven ability to supervise safe and environmentally responsible quarry operations.
Experience in coordinating mining contractors, blasting activities, and crusher operations.
Competence in managing haul roads, drainage systems, stockpiles, and mine safety programs.
Diligence in maintaining operational records and ensuring regulatory compliance.
