ON-SITE LOGISTICS COORDINATOR – CONSTRUCTION @ HSD-MELT
We are seeking an organized On-Site Logistics Coordinator to manage the flow of materials and equipment for our construction projects in Tanzania. This role is essential for ensuring that site operations run smoothly without delays caused by supply chain issues. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, managing on-site inventory, and coordinating the movement of heavy machinery.
As the link between suppliers and the construction site, you will monitor delivery schedules and ensure that all items meet the required specifications. You will also oversee the storage of materials to prevent damage or loss and implement efficient tracking systems. Your efforts will directly contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the construction team.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably on construction sites.
Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and heavy equipment.
Proficiency in inventory management software and basic data entry.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in coordinating with freight forwarders and local transport providers.
Ability to read and interpret delivery schedules and shipping documents.
Physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors on active construction sites.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and site foremen.
Strong problem-solving abilities to resolve delivery discrepancies or delays.
