MAINTENANCE MANAGER @ HSD-MELT
The Maintenance Manager will lead all engineering, maintenance, utilities, and technical support functions in a 24/7 poultry feed mill located in Zinga, Bagamoyo. This high-impact role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring strict safety compliance across the facility. You will be responsible for overseeing sophisticated feed mill equipment including pellet mills, mixers, conveyors, and automated packing lines, ensuring the entire plant operates at peak efficiency.
As a strategic leader, you will develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while managing maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory. You will oversee a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and contractors, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of safety and excellence. The role also involves supporting capital projects and plant modernization efforts to maintain a competitive edge in the poultry feed manufacturing industry.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of maintenance or engineering experience in feed milling or industrial manufacturing.
Minimum 4 years of management experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Strong expertise in equipment reliability and maintenance planning.
Experience with utilities such as electrical systems, boilers, and steam systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA).
Ability to manage maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory.
Knowledge of safety, environmental, and food safety standards.
Experience leading technical teams including electricians and fitters.
Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance performance reporting.
