FLEET MANAGER @ HSD-MELT
HSD-MELT is looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our vehicle operations in Tanzania. You will be responsible for managing a diverse fleet of vehicles used across various corporate and project sectors. The goal is to ensure that the fleet is operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant transportation regulations.
Key responsibilities include scheduling regular maintenance, managing driver assignments, and tracking fuel consumption to optimize costs. You will also handle vehicle registrations, insurance, and the disposal of older assets. By implementing robust fleet management systems and safety policies, you will ensure that our transportation infrastructure supports the company's broader operational goals.

Key Requirements
Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or Automotive Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in fleet or transportation management.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules and automotive systems.
Experience in managing a large team of drivers and support staff.
Familiarity with GPS tracking and fleet management software.
Knowledge of Tanzanian traffic laws and transportation licensing requirements.
Strong budget management skills for controlling fuel and maintenance costs.
Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities.
Commitment to implementing and enforcing road safety policies.
Effective communication skills for reporting to senior management.
